Finding solace
Early Thursday morning I visited St Nicholas Cemetery on the Rosemont/Chicago border. The 6AM light was perfect, there was a layer of mist enveloping the grass and a layer of droplets on everything. I came away with a feeling of peace I hadn't had in quite a while.
When I first moved to Chicago I lived a block away from St Boniface Cemetery and it was my place of solace, where I could get away from my troubles and just be with the serene statues and gnarly old trees. It felt a million miles away from the bustle of the city and the chaos in my head.
This week has been quite rough for me and even though this salve was nice I may need to find another place tomorrow morning. I think a bike ride is in order.

I know what you mean. Had a similiar (I think) type of week this week myself.
